Terms of Service

1. Who can use IncomingU

IncomingU is intended for use by incoming or current students of the schools it supports. If you are under 18, you may only submit content with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, and by submitting you represent that you have that permission.

2. What you're submitting

When you submit a photo, name, Instagram handle, bio/caption, and any other requested information (a "Submission"), you grant IncomingU a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display your Submission in order to:

• post it to the official Instagram account of the school you selected, and
• use it in IncomingU's own promotional materials (for example, on this website or IncomingU's own social accounts).

You confirm that:

• you are the person shown in the photo(s) you submit, or you have that person's permission (or, if that person is under 18, their parent or guardian's permission) to submit on their behalf;
• you own the rights to the photo(s), or otherwise have permission to share them; and
• your Submission does not infringe anyone else's rights and does not violate Instagram's Community Guidelines or applicable law.

3. Review and posting

Every Submission is reviewed by a person before it's posted. IncomingU may edit or lightly crop a Submission for formatting, and may decline to post any Submission, for any reason, at its sole discretion (for example, content that appears fake, violates Instagram's guidelines, or is incomplete). IncomingU does not guarantee that any Submission will be posted, or posted by a particular time. Any turnaround estimate shown on the submission form is an estimate, not a guarantee.

4. Fees and payment

Some schools charge a fee to submit, and may offer an optional priority ("instant post") fee for faster review. Fees are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor; IncomingU never receives or stores your full card number.

5. No refunds

Because reviewing every Submission takes real staff time, and because this fee is part of what discourages spam and fake submissions, all payments are final and non-refundable once a payment is confirmed. This includes Submissions that are rejected, flagged, or otherwise not posted after review. Please read a school's fee carefully before paying.

6. Content we won't post

IncomingU will not post Submissions that are illegal, harassing, sexually explicit, hateful, or that otherwise violate Instagram's Community Guidelines. IncomingU may remove or refuse to post a Submission that falls into any of these categories, without a refund.

7. Not affiliated with Instagram or your school

IncomingU is an independent service. It is not created by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any college or university whose name or Instagram account appears on this website, except where a school has specifically partnered with IncomingU.

8. Requesting removal

If your Submission has already been posted and you'd like it taken down, contact us at support@incomingu.com and we'll remove it as soon as reasonably possible.

9. No warranty; limitation of liability

This website and its services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IncomingU is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to your Submission is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that Submission.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use IncomingU after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
