The summer before college is full of questions nobody quite answers: which dorm to request, what to actually pack, whether it's weird to message your future roommate first. IncomingU started as a way to answer a smaller question: what if you already knew a few faces before move-in day?
One photo, one bio, and you're part of your class before day one.

incoming.usc I'm Maya, and I grew up right here in LA, so USC has been on my radar since I was a kid. Looking seriously at political science, though ask me again in six months.
What we do
One school. One class. All about you.
IncomingU runs a dedicated Instagram account for each school's incoming class, not a shared national feed. Every post is submitted directly by an incoming student and reviewed by a real person before anything goes up.
No listicles, no recycled advice. Just names, faces, and a few lines from the people you're about to spend the next four years with.
The problem
It used to be a group chat with 12,000 strangers in it.
Most incoming classes still meet each other the same way: a group chat that fills with hundreds of "anyone else going to …" posts in the first day and is unreadable by the end of the week. Finding an actual person in it, let alone a photo of them, meant scrolling for hours.
